The global landscape of Health Technology Assessment<\/a> (HTA) processes is evolving as countries strive to implement evidence-based decision-making for healthcare services. This survey, covering 104 countries, offers an insightful analysis of the current state of HTA practices worldwide. Conducted by the WHO, it serves as the largest source of information on HTA, exploring the institutionalisation of systematic health decision-making at national levels. The results reveal that while many nations have HTA bodies in place, their functions and effectiveness vary, with higher-income countries generally showing more established processes.<\/p>\n

However, even these countries face challenges, particularly in areas such as social participation and the appeal process. Key barriers to HTA utilisation include a lack of awareness and insufficient institutional support. This survey provides valuable guidance for countries aiming to strengthen their HTA systems and move toward more inclusive, sustainable health decision-making.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
