Universal health coverage (UHC) is central to the global commitment to ensure that all people can access quality health services without financial hardship, as articulated in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a target date of 2030. As this deadline approaches, sustaining and accelerating progress has become increasingly urgent. Tracking Universal Health Coverage: 2025 Global Monitoring Report<\/em>, published by the World Health Organization (WHO)<\/strong> and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development \/ The World Bank<\/strong>, provides the most up-to-date global, regional, and country-level assessment of progress toward UHC using revised and strengthened indicators.<\/p>\n Drawing on improved measures of service coverage and financial protection, the report documents both important gains since 2000 and a marked slowdown during the SDG era. While more people are accessing essential health services and fewer are experiencing financial hardship, progress is uneven and insufficient to meet global targets.
