Read the report of the webinar<\/a><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_video src=”https:\/\/p4h.world\/app\/uploads\/2025\/10\/p4h_Webinar-Health-Financing-Social-Health-Protection-Rare-Diseases.mp4″ _builder_version=”4.21.0″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”15px||30px||false|false” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″][\/et_pb_video][et_pb_text admin_label=”TO BE EDITED – TEXT OF THE NEWS – BLOCK 1 ” _builder_version=”4.21.0″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”||1em||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Rare Diseases International (RDI)<\/a> and the P4H Network have partnered to enable global advocacy and collaboration to influence and support innovation in health financing arrangements and social health protection that concretely promote effective health coverage, increased access and adequate financial protection for people living with rare diseases.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”TO BE EDITED – TEXT OF THE NEWS – BLOCK 2″ _builder_version=”4.21.0″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”||1em||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n RDI and P4H contacted RDI member organizations<\/a>, P4H country focal persons<\/a>, experts with the World Health Organization (WHO)<\/a>, consultants with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)<\/a> and professionals to exchange information on national experiences in financing of rare diseases treatment. This information and preliminary data were reviewed and validated to develop a shortlist of countries from different regions. Then, the rare disease situation in 11 countries was documented through questionnaires and structured interviews with primary sources.<\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”TO BE EDITED – TEXT OF THE NEWS – BLOCK 3″ _builder_version=”4.21.0″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”||1em||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n This cross-country study explores the current health financing arrangement and social health protection structure for rare diseases, existing challenges and plans for policy action in each country and region.
