Oman aims to get a high return on<strong> investing in people&#8217;s health<\/strong> by \u201ccombining <strong>innovative reforms <\/strong>aimed at improving cost efficiency and reconciling fiscal consolidation targets with the continued <strong>provision of<\/strong> sufficient levels of <strong>public services<\/strong>\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>The workshop stressed the need to come up with budget-promoting solutions and initiatives for the MOH through the <strong>optimal use of available resources<\/strong> to achieve universal health coverage in Oman.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>The importance of this workshop stems from the importance of investing in health.<strong> Investment in health<\/strong> will help the Sultanate to <strong>rise to the challenges<\/strong> defined in its health strategies that had been aggravated by the economic crisis which are <strong>population aging<\/strong>, an increase in chronic diseases, i<strong>ncreased demand for health care<\/strong>, and the high cost of technological progress.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The original article was published in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moh.gov.om\/en\/-\/--1727\">eHealth Portal of Oman&#8217;s Ministry of Health.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Have anything to say about Oman&#8217;s health financing policies?
