He allocated an additional Rs. 18bn for expansion of health facilities to tackle COVID-19 and resultant health crises.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>As part of the investments in public health, the central government has also proposed a<a href=\"https:\/\/sltda.gov.lk\/storage\/common_media\/COVID-19%20Insured%20(1)2114407123.pdf\"> COVID-19 insurance scheme <\/a>to provide health coverage to those most affected by the virus.
