\nThe Integrated Health Model is a tool, which helps country governments estimate the total resources \u2013 human, infrastructural, financial – required to meet the health-related Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).<\/p>\n

Purpose<\/strong>
\nThe purpose is to estimate the total costs of delivering integrated health services at scale to achieve the MDGs.<\/p>\n

Methodology and type of data required<\/strong>
\nThe Integrated Health Model consolidates and builds on several health costing tools developed by other development partners, including WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA and UNAIDS. The model\u2019s key feature is the coherent scale-up of integrated health services anchored in a comprehensive treatment of the health system.
\nThis model uses the unit cost approach (cost per case x number of cases).<\/p>\n
