The plan is well-rounded and very realistic in terms of what it hopes to accomplish, but it is also \u201chome-grown\u201d instead of being drafted by international experts. National health planning is an essential contributor to Universal Health Coverage, specifying objectives and funding sources. While the health sector in PNG received 11.2% of the 2022 national budget, government spending alone will be insufficient. Therefore, international partners are an integral part for financing this plan. Health gaps do exist in PNG. Interestingly, since there is heavy health systems focus on women and children in developing countries, men\u2019s health may suffer.
