The net result will be a fall in outbound medical tourism.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bahrain.bh\/new\/en\/health_en.html\">Supreme Council of Health<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aon.com\/bahrain\/default.jsp\">Aon Bahrain<\/a>*&nbsp;have<strong> signed an agreement<\/strong> on the implementation of a <strong>health insurance scheme for foreign residents<\/strong> within the framework of the National Health Insurance (NHI) programme.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims <strong>to ensure cover of basic healthcare services<\/strong> for foreign residents by providing a package of <strong>primary and secondary healthcare services<\/strong> in addition to treatment in emergencies and accident cases.
