From March 2019 to October 2021, a research project on the successful implementation of universal health coverage in Burkina Faso was conducted by researchers from several institutions in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. The research project was entitled ” production et utilisation de donn\u00e9es factuelles pour l’aide aux d\u00e9cisions dans le cadre de la couverture sanitaire universelle au Burkina Faso “.<\/p>\n
The research was carried out by researchers from the Institut de recherche en sciences de la sant\u00e9 (IRSS) and the Institut panafricain de recherche sur les m\u00e9dias, l’information et de la communication (IPERMIC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, and funded by the European Union.<\/p>\n
To arrive at their results, as in all research work, the IRSS and IPERMIC researchers asked themselves a number of questions. The list of questions asked includes, among others, ” how do people participate in and support the CSU process ? What are the coping strategies for healthcare staff, particularly at the CSU ? What can be done to increase the uptake and retention of community-based health insurance (CBHI) ? And how can we encourage healthcare staff to adopt good professional practices to ensure quality care for the populations ? .<\/p>\n
