The expected consequences of this pandemic on the economy are :
\n– Reduction of the growth rate from 6.3% to 2% in 2020;
\n– The drop in public revenues, estimated at 306 billion FCFA (511,102,620.00 USD), representing a budget deficit of 5%;
\n– A general slowdown in economic activity across all sectors, resulting in cash flow pressures for the State.<\/p>\n
\nFaced with such a situation, the government has been instructed to draw up a rectifying finance bill that will take into account the urgent need to review our priorities, in order to meet the following objectives:
\n– Supporting healthcare provision;
\n– Ensure the country’s economic recovery;
\n– Guarantee budgetary sustainability.<\/p>\n
