“After setting the terms and conditions of access to
\n benefits<\/span>
\n<\/a> health care benefits under the Couverture Maladie Universelle (
\n CMU<\/span>
\n<\/a>), the
\n waiting period<\/span>
\n<\/a>
\n mandatory waiting period<\/span>
\n<\/a> known. This is a period of three (3) months for Ivorian nationals and six (6) months for foreign nationals, before entitlement to services<\/span><\/a> care of the CMU<\/span><\/a>According to a new decree issued by the Council of Ministers Government<\/span><\/a>it harmonizes the duration of the deficiency<\/span><\/a> for all insured persons, whether national or non-national residents, to bring it into line with international social security standards. Thus, the
\n waiting period<\/span>

\n mandatory<\/span>
\n<\/a>before entitlement to
\n benefits<\/span>
\n<\/a> benefits under the
\n CMU<\/span>
\n<\/a> is three (3) consecutive months, from the date of payment of the first contribution, for both Ivorian and foreign nationals”.<\/p>\n
