He was chosen at the end of a renewal general meeting held at Diourbel town hall, replacing Demba Mame Ndiaye from Diourbel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Serigne Diouf, Director of Operations for the Agence nationale pour la couverture universelle (National Agency for Universal Health Coverage), who oversaw the general meeting, affirms&nbsp;that the Union nationale des mutuelles de sant\u00e9 communautaire (National Union of Community Health Mutuals) is making a major contribution to achieving the goal of Universal Health Coverage. According to him, &#8221;&nbsp;the universal health coverage rate has risen from 48.6% in 2019 to 53% in 2020, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
