The development of Burundi&#8217;s health financing strategy will enable the country to move towards UHC, and is guided by advocacy supported by the country&#8217;s political will, legal instruments and institutional bodies to be put in place at national level.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span lang=\"FR\">In this context, a Steering Committee for the development of a health financing strategy was set up, and a Technical Working Group (TWG) created to support a consultant&nbsp; recruited with the support of the WHO and the WB, with a view to realizing this vision.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span lang=\"FR\">From August 30 to September 02, the Technical Working Group for the development of Burundi&#8217;s health financing strategy organized a workshop to analyze the options for a health financing strategy towards the CSU in Burundi.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Setting up the CSU is still one of Burundi&#8217;s national priorities.
