The overall objective is to enable Ministry of Public Health stakeholders to master the budget process in order to improve health financing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Specifically, the training aims to:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. To present the different steps for a good planning-programming-budgeting and monitoring-evaluation based on the priorities of the health sector in connection with the implementation of the objectives of the health financing strategy and the CSU ;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Linking sound financial management to strategic purchasing of healthcare services<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Present and exchange best practices in program-based budgeting ;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Highlight budget execution rules and procedures in line with national program budget regulations and the achievement of health objectives.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Present and discuss the budgetary control rules and procedures in force and the GAPs at the Ministry of Health ;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Correct shortcomings in health budget monitoring ;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Take stock of and discuss program budget reform, and present the outlook for the Ministry of Health ;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Show the Ministry of Health how external funding can be factored into the budget to align partners.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
