Speaking to journalists, Ms KONE also took stock of the situation: only 38,653 of the 781,204 insured have their CMU cards. These difficulties are essentially linked to the drop in enrolment figures; the delay in making insured cards available; the low level of collection of employee contributions; the failure to replenish the contributor accounts of employees who have had their contributions deducted; the low level of payment of contributions by people in the informal sector; and the lack of knowledge about how to use the cards.<\/p>\n
In terms of contribution collection, the Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Maladie (CNAM) intends to step up its communication strategy on the e-CNPS and e-CMU contribution payment platforms, as well as implementing the decrees issued to define contribution collection procedures for the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n
