In 2024, 25 million insured members of the Seguro Integral de Salud (SIS) will be guaranteed the financing of their preventive, recuperative and rehabilitative care, in a comprehensive and free manner, in public health facilities of the Ministry of Health and regional governments nationwide.<\/p>\n

The SIS covers more than 12,000 diseases, including various types of cancer, chronic, rare or orphan kidney diseases, Covid-19, mental health, chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes, infectious diseases such as dengue, malaria; the entire process of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium, as well as emergency transfers, burial benefits and food for pregnant women in maternity homes.<\/p>\n
