Mandatory Health Insurance Fund of Kyrgyzstan<\/a> reported on the volume of primary health care services provided and reimbursed last year. In 2023, 7 030 984 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic sought medical care in primary health care organizations. These organizations included 61 General Practice Centers, where 689 groups of family doctors work, as well as 1059 medical and obstetric stations and 17 Family Medicine Centers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Considering the important role of primary health care in providing high-quality, timely medical care to the population, in 2023 the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund allocated 8 billion 786 million 957 thousand soms to primary level organizations (in 2022 it was 6 billion 486 million 720 thousand soms).<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

These funds were used to provide medical services to citizens, including paying the salaries of more than 12 thousand medical specialists working in these institutions.<\/span><\/span> In addition, funds were allocated for the timely provision of laboratory services with the necessary reagents and consumables for conducting free basic (12 types) and additional laboratory tests (40 types), which made it possible to expand the range of services and ensure more accurate and timely diagnosis.<\/span><\/span> Also, the allocated funds were aimed at maintaining existing medical equipment (X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, physiotherapy, etc.), which made it possible to ensure efficient functioning of medical organizations and improve the quality of care.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
