Kyrgyzstan’s Health Insurance Fund has announced that its hotline for the public was receiving numerous calls from the citizens of Russia and Kazakhstan legally present in Kyrgyzstan, asking how to purchase the mandatory state health insurance. The Fund provided the following explanation on its website. Citizens of the Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, and other members of the Eurasian Economic Union, do not need to purchase the Insurance Policy if their employers pay insurance premiums. This is an interesting information because regional ties are important for members of regional unions and similar approaches are implemented in neighbor countries.<\/p>\n
The Fund clarified:<\/p>\n
To confirm your status, you must provide an extract from your personal insurance account from the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic.<\/em> Members of their families have the right to purchase a Compulsory Health Insurance Policy as citizens of Kyrgyzstan for 1,840 soms for 12 calendar months.<\/em> However, pregnant women and children of these citizens under 16 years of age are considered insured, so they also do not buy the Policy.<\/em><\/p>\nThe policy comes into force and the assignment of insurance status occurs within 5 (five) calendar days from the date of last premium payment.<\/em> Premium payment for the compulsory health insurance is made through payment terminals and mobile applications.<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=”TO BE EDITED – TEXT OF THE NEWS – BLOCK 2 – Click on the WHEEL icon to open the textarea where you can paste or type your news.
