As part of the operationalization of Universal Health Coverage (UHC), the Ministry of Public Health, through the National Health Insurance Fund, launched data collection operations for the economically deprived on July 3, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

At the launch ceremony, Chad’<\/a> s Minister of Health, Dr Abdelmadjid Abderahim, said the law provides for the implementation of 3 CSU schemes, namely the employee insurance scheme, the self-employed insurance scheme, and the medical assistance scheme for the economically disadvantaged.<\/p>\n

“With a view to gradual implementation, and in the spirit of equity and social justice, Chad has chosen to begin the operationalization of these schemes with the Medical Assistance scheme<\/strong>,” he points out.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The representative of the World Health Organization, Dr Jhon Eyang Efobi, praised the leadership of the Minister of Health, who has accelerated the process of universal health coverage. He also pointed out that the fact that this phase of the project is being financed largely from Chad’s own resources bears witness to the political will of the country’s highest authorities to promote public health.<\/p>\n

” Our hope is that the survey will go ahead as planned, enabling us to obtain quality data on the economically deprived from a single social register, to facilitate the effective launch of regime 3, so that the slogan “Leave no one behind >> will be a reality in Chad in 2024 and the years to come.<\/em><\/strong>“said John Eyong Efobi, representative of Chad’s technical and financial partners.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The operation, to be carried out by the Institut national des statistiques, des \u00e9tudes \u00e9conomiques et d\u00e9mographiques (INSEED), covers the regions of Danamadji in Moyen-Chari, Bongor in Mayo-Kebbi Est and Ab\u00e9ch\u00e9 in Ouadda\u00ef.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
