The Universal Health Insurance (Amu) project, rolled out in January 2024, already covers 800,000 people nationwide, announced the Togolese presidency on July 11, 2024 on its <\/span>account X<\/a> <\/span>(ex-Twitter). <\/div>\n
This figure represents an increase of “almost 50% in just six months”, boast the Togolese authorities.
\nThe Togolese presidency considers that the percentage of people enrolled in ALU marks “a step forward in the materialization” of the government’s ambitions to offer quality health care to the entire population. <\/div>\n
As part of the AMU rollout, the Caisse Nationale de S\u00e9curit\u00e9 Sociale (CNSS) is responsible for private sector workers, while the Institut National d’Assurance Maladie (INAM) of <\/span>Togo<\/a> <\/span>is responsible for public sector employees. <\/div>\n
