Cambodia<\/a> has committed to improve access to health care for all citizens. One of main challenges is no data linkages between different social protection programs. The USAID Local Health System Sustainability Project (LHSS) is working with programs such as the National Social Protection Council, the IDPoor Program, and the National Social Assistance Fund to create a data-sharing infrastructure that links social health protection programs across the country.<\/p>\nThe project aims to alleviate the burden of managing patients from different programs and facilitate eligible enrollment in social service benefits. Using demographic data, the registry will serve as the \u2018digital glue\u2019 connecting all social protection databases across the country, while safeguarding clients\u2019 personal medical information.<\/p>\n
Establishing a network of interoperable data management systems offers significant potential to transform Cambodia\u2019s social safety-net ecosystem and enhancing efficiency in delivering subsidized social services.<\/p>\n
