The annual report<\/a> of the <\/span>Caisse d’amortissement de la dette sociale (Cades), the French social security debt amortization fund <\/span>, highlights the six social issues carried out in 2023, totaling \u20ac22.2 bn. Cades succeeded in allocating \u20ac24.2 bn to cover the accumulated deficits of the Health and Old-Age branches between 2020 and 2022, including \u20ac21.6 bn for the Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Maladie and \u20ac2.7 bn for the Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Vieillesse. <\/p>\n

The report also highlights progress made in a number of areas, including preventive healthcare, the fight against smoking and alcoholism, improved access to healthcare for the most disadvantaged, and the reduction of inequalities in the pension system.
