The Supreme Audit Chamber (SAC)<\/strong> conducted a five-month audit<\/strong> in 2024<\/strong> of the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF)<\/strong>, covering its 2022\u20132023 activities<\/strong>, including four regional branches<\/strong>. The audit examined 3.8 trillion tenge<\/strong> in expenditures and over 770 million medical services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The audit identified financial violations amounting to 55.8 million tenge<\/strong>, which were fully reimbursed<\/strong> during the audit process. The violations were largely procedural and systemic<\/strong> in nature, highlighting deficiencies in operational processes.<\/p>\n

Following the audit, the Ministry of Health and SHIF received recommendations to improve financial management and operational efficiency. In response, the Board of Directors of SHIF reviewed the findings and approved an action plan to address the violations.<\/p>\n
