Revenues to Moldova\u2019s health insurance funds rose significantly in the first seven months of this year, increasing by 867 million lei, or 11.6 percent, compared to the same period in 2024. The bulk of revenues came from health insurance contributions tied to salaries, which totaled 5.4 billion lei, up 656 million lei from last year.<\/p>\n

Spending also grew, with over 800 million lei more transferred for medical services than in the same period of 2024. In just the first half of the year, more than 91 million lei were allocated from mandatory health insurance funds for costly consumables used in complex surgeries aimed at restoring organ and limb function.<\/p>\n

Fixed contributions amounted to over 335 million lei, while other revenues, including premiums paid by residents of IT parks, reached about 165 million lei, marking an increase of 34 million lei from last year. Transfers from the state budget totaled 2.4 billion lei. Looking ahead, the compulsory health insurance funds\u2019 budget for 2025 is projected to grow by 13 percent in both revenues and expenditures, exceeding 17 billion lei.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
