An evaluation of health systems equity in Indonesia

Universal health coverage (UHC) improves the equity of the health system. With UHC, the poor and vulnerable populations could access quality and essential health care without financial barriers or the risk of catastrophic health expenditure. To close equity gaps, Indonesia implemented a series of UHC policy reforms. This study assesses the equity impact of the most recent package of UHC reforms implemented by the Indonesian government to support universal coverage.
