According to its executive summary, “the Annual Performance Report (APR) 2019, provides a glimpse of the performance of the health sector in 2019. Under its core leadership and governance mandate, the Ministry of Health (MOH) ensures that strategic policy frameworks exist, as well as transparency, accountability and effective collaboration between the different actors in the health system. Several Acts and Regulations to promote and protect health came into force in 2019. Some key questions on health were addressed in the National Assembly ranging from high infant mortality rate in 2018 to procurement of new therapeutics.”
