This article from the Health chapter of The Report: Qatar 2020, lays out the structure of the health system in Qatar and its focus on public investment that has improved access to and demand for health services. It provides an assessment of the Ministry of Public Health’s progress in achieving high standards of health in terms of life expectancy, maternal and child health, and efficient management of the COVID 19 Pandemic. Increased budget allocation (11% of total national public budget) and free universal health coverage to citizens and residents at all public health facilities has made this possible.
