The Ministry of Health of Argentina implemented several interventions in 2020, with the objective of expanding the response capacity of the Health System.
Investments were made in the operational capacity of the provinces, complementing the investments made by the jurisdictions, in order to prepare the health system to face the pandemic and guarantee its capabilities.
In order to provide a rapid response to the global advance of COVID-19, the National Executive Power modified, through two Emergency Decrees and ten Administrative Decisions, the budget allocations foreseen for the Ministry of Health and some decentralized agencies in the 2020 budget.
