Private expenditures on healthcare: determinants patterns and progressivity aspects

This journal paper discusses how private spending by Israelis on health care is related to the income of individuals and their place of residence, and the inequity in access to care that ensues.
It also analyses the progressivity of public financing in Israel which is almost enough to offset the regressive effect of out-of-pocket payments and payments for voluntary complimentary insurance.
