This publication looks into government spending on social protection over the period between 2017 and 2020.
In an effort to understand how social protection spending and financing is structured in Lebanon and who are its main beneficiaries, this budget spending review aims to inform an evidence-based policy response. Its findings provide insight on how the reallocation of resources in a context of crisis can be less challenging and more efficient and equitable.
