The second French-speaking session of the “Leadership for the CSU” program takes place in 2019-2020 and invites 4 countries: Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Niger and Senegal. Each of these countries sent a high-level multi-sector team to the first module, held in Rabat in the second week of July 2019.
he Burkina team, whose composition can be found in a document linked to this post, seems to have benefited enormously from the training.
On an individual level, we’ve seen real upheavals, real introspection, as a result of the high-end leadership coaching provided by the program.
From a team point of view, the return on experience is all the more impressive given that the first module is focused on the individual, so that a coalition is not yet expected to emerge after just one week. In the case of Burkina Faso, it was found that :
- Many of the participants got to know
- A great deal of emulation has been created around the CSU, which some people hadn’t dealt with as much as others until now.
- Like the other teams, the Burkina team worked on today’s situation and tomorrow’s expectations in a much-appreciated ” sculpture ” (3D) exercise (see photo: CSU’s expected future situation).
- Technical and historical knowledge of the subject was shared by the ST/CSU of the Ministry of Health and the DG of the CNAMU in particular.
- We were also treated to a frank and honest sharing of the coalition experience and its troubled times by some of the heads of related departments.
- The team met formally for the first time just one month after his return to the country (see other post).
All in all, the Burkina team was perfectly up to the task and fully committed to the program. We hope that the program will bring about a qualitative change in the key reforms underway in Burkina…. See you in Module 2!
