Zero co-payment implementation is highlighted as the main health care financial protection measure
Since its implementation in September 2022 until November 2023, the Zero Copayment program in Chile has benefited 1,209,417 people, which has generated total savings equivalent to $150 million US dollars for Chilean citizens. This measure reflects the government’s commitment to health care accessibility. Zero co-payment, the expansion of primary health care and the strengthening of mental health services represent important advances towards the construction of a more inclusive and efficient health system for all inhabitants of Chile.
