WHO shares first cost estimates of the proposed Essential Health Package (EHP). [This refers to one of the 10 work packages outlined in the previous Intranet entry on 2.12.13]

Kindly find the 1st excel sheet sent by Shakti [Public Health Foundation India, PHFI] and his presentation made during the last meeting. I have made comparison between Nepal developed sheet and his one and most of the diseases are addressed. We are yet to get the numbers (inputs) for these however as Shakti requested we have communicated the numbers for green highlighted ones. In the second sheet as well and there are many conditions where the costing has not been separated for drugs, lab, HR, system and overhead. I think we need to identify some mechanism for calculating this figure as it will be useful resource during the budget analysis. (NB: HR , system and some drug cost already covered with present fiscal space).
We will share you the estimated numbers as it is available and also request for your review of these files.
