The overall development objective of this PRD is to help improve public health policies in Burkina Faso. Its specific aim is to strengthen the institutionalization of quality evaluation practice in the healthcare sector.
To this end, the project’s main research question is: How can we improve the various aspects of evaluative practice (design and coordination, scientific and methodological quality, use) in the health sector in Burkina Faso?
According to Elisabeth Paul, Lecturer, two doctoral students from Burkina Faso are carrying out a meta-evaluation of a sample of evaluations in the sector: Dr Rita Zizien is in charge of analyzing the evaluative approaches used, and Mr Mohamadi Zeba is in charge of analyzing the process and usefulness of the evaluations. Their first case study concerns the evaluation of the Bank’s FBR program.
