Effect of public spending on health on poverty in the provinces of Peru.

This study sought to determine the effect of the execution of public capital expenditure on health on poverty reduction between 2007 and 2018 in Peru

The study is based on data from public institutions in 157 provinces and from the 2007 and 2018 poverty maps of the Peruvian National Institute of Statistics and Informatics.

The results obtained allow us to establish that the execution of public capital spending on health has a favorable effect on the reduction of monetary poverty in the provinces of Peru between 2007 and 2018. In other words, the variable that explains public spending on health is one of several factors not analyzed in the study that contributes to the reduction of poverty in the Peruvian provinces.
