According to the 2019-2024 Management Report of the General Hospital of Mexico “Dr. Eduardo Liceaga”, the free medical care program was able to eliminate economic barriers and also ensure that more people could receive quality medical care.
The hospital’s general director pointed out that health services were provided free of charge to 180,000 emergency patients, 400,000 hospitalized patients and 120,000 people who underwent interventional procedures. He also stated that more than 1,600,000 medicines were delivered.
