According to the Human Development Report 2023/2024 officially launched by the government and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on June 18, 2024, the Togo has made remarkable progress. Indeed, the country’s Human Development Index (HDI) has risen from 0.539 in 2021-2022 to 0.547 in 2023-2024. The evolution of the Human Development Index (HDI) is based on three components: health and longevity (living environment, energy, life expectancy at birth); education, which focuses on the average number of years of schooling and the expected number of years of schooling; and standard of living, which refers to gross national income per capita (job creation and wealth).
