Short description
The ILO Health Protection section of the ILO Social Protection provides information on the different ILO dimensions of access to health care (legal coverage, availability, affordability/financial protection). Global inequities in access to health care are shown, e.g. as regards to income, gender, age and rural/urban disparities. It is further illustrated how investments into health protection can have a positive impact on a country’s overall socio-economic development.
