Subject: Potential P4H collaboration with the World Bank in Kosovo
Dear Claude, Michael
I am writing to introduce you to our project team in Kosovo to enable a dialog about a potential collaboration with P4H. Namely, the Ministry of Health in Kosovo plans to introduce mandatory health insurance in Kosovo. A law enabling this is being finalized. The World Bank has been engaged in a policy dialogue with the Ministry to support the development of this reform, and now anticipates a new health sector operation to support capacity building. The team wanted to explore how Kosovo could potentially benefit from the P4H initiative. Key needs at the moment include hands-on technical assistance on how to set up and operationalize a mandatory health insurance system, and inter-country learning to inform Kosovo’s approach.
