In Indonesia, health insurance population coverage has reached to 95.77% in 2023, aligning with a goal set in the 2024 National Medium-term Development Plan.
The population coverage target for 2024 is 113 million people insured with full premium subsidies by the state budget, a goal that appears achievable. According to this roadmap, it is anticipated that 98% of the population will be covered by the national health insurance scheme.
