Results-based Financing has been adopted as a health system reform strategy in Guinea since 2016, linked to the Ministry of Health’s 2015-2024 national health development plan. According to Dr. Daman Keïta, coordinator of the national results-based financing technical unit, “this is an approach to health system reform that aims to improve a certain number of indicators in order to strengthen the health system as a whole.
Since March 27, the Kankan region has had the benefit of this reform, which will strengthen the achievements of its health services. To achieve this, and according to the players in the field, we need to focus on a number of factors, notably reducing poverty within communities, but also ensuring that care beneficiaries are satisfied with the quality of care in force.
