Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Healthcare has approved a work plan to develop and review tariffs (fees) for medical services provided within the guaranteed volume of free medical care and the mandatory social health insurance for year 2022.
The workplan includes several parts:
- Improving payment methods for inpatient (hospital) services and care
- Revision of tariffs for laboratory tests and tariffs for specialized outpatient medical care
- Improvement of complex tariffs (global budget) for a patient with tuberculosis, psychiatric service; revision of tariffs for treatment of children with cancer
- Blood component studies and immunological tissue typing (HLA studies), reference studies for the blood service
- Other fees, including mobile palliative care team visit; financing the work of youth health centers; school health services; new health technologies approved by the Joint Quality Commission of the MoH; accounting for salary increase for health workers and reimbursement of expenses of health care organizations for renewal of fixed assets.
