Mali: the Board of Directors considers the results of the Compulsory Health Insurance scheme to be satisfactory.

The directors of the Caisse Malienne de Sécurité Sociale (CMSS) and those of the Assurance Maladie Obligatoire (AMO) met for their 28th and 18th board meetings. According to  Sékou Oumar Dembélé, representative of the Minister of Health and technical advisor to the Ministry of Health, the mid-term results achieved are satisfactory.

He explains that the CMSS has implemented a budget based on an annual forecast of 169 224 525 755F, to December 31, 2022. Total budget revenue amounted to FRF165, ,804 ,914, ,363, representing an implementation rate of 97.98%. In addition, of the 117 activities, 74 have been carried out at mid-term, namely the collection of contributions amounting to more than 38.245 billion CFA francs, of which 36.843 billion have been paid to the Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Maladie (CANAM). In addition, reimbursements to approved service providers amounted to 24.469 billion euros, representing 2, ,574,361 sheets of treatment and other medical procedures.
