How can conventional medicines be made accessible to the public to counter the sale of street medicines ? The issue was the focus of a meeting of healthcare stakeholders on Thursday June 17 in Bamako. During the session, which was attended by experts from all over the country, the Ministry of Health announced that ” in the near future “, Mali will have universal health insurance so that ” access to all medicines according to need ” can be a reality for all Malians.
The first step is to combat street drugs. To achieve this, the Ministry of Health intends to implement policies aimed at making conventional medicines accessible to the population.
