The State Policy on Health of Mongolia for 2017-2026 aims to mainstream universal health care and bring the quality of health care in the country to international standards.
In 2021 the Ministry of Health, with support from Wolters Kluwer Health, introduced a program known as UpToDate that is the clinical decision support resource trusted by millions of clinicians worldwide. Namely, UpToDate helps Mongolian clinicians to access globally trusted medical resources with financial incentives to gain continuous insights on improvements in the quality of care that citizens receive. Currently, health insurance uses the criteria based on the clinical guidance sourced from the UpToDate”.
