The New Zealand Government has allocated $22 million for the interim Māori Health Authority to begin funding health services for Māori population.
The Māori Health Authority is the lead commissioner of health services targeted at Māori and the co-commission for other health services for Māori in collaboration with Health New Zealand.
The funding will cover current services through Māori health providers and will be used as investment in Māori traditional medicine expansion and services.
