On July 19, Professor Jiayan Huang participated in a pre-congress session titled “Accelerating and Sustaining the Journey Towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Through Peer-to-Peer Learning Approach”, held during the 2025 IHEA Congress in Bali, Indonesia. The session was hosted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
ADB has recently established a peer-to-peer Network on UHC called “UHC Practitioners and Experts knowledge Exchange and Resources (UHC PEERS)”. The session’s preliminary objectives were to generate ideas on how UHC PEERS could add value to developing member countries in their pursuit of UHC, and to gather suggestions and mechanisms for strengthening the network, fostering knowledge exchange, and sharing best practices.
Professor Jiayan Huang was invited to deliver a presentation on the role of the P4H Network and its support for UHC PEERS. As a representative of the P4H Academic Group, she introduced the structure of the P4H Network, underscoring its overarching objectives, the role of the CFP, and significant milestones achieved to date. She further elaborated on the P4H Academic Group’s contributions to advancing research in social health protection.
This global forum marked the first time the P4H Academic Group presented at an academic event. This participation offered an opportunity to explore potential collaborations and to enhance the visibility and understanding of the P4H Network’s objectives, functions, and key accomplishments among a broader academic and policy audience.
