The MoH Nepal has requested support from the P4H partner GTZ for the development of a Social Health Protection (SHP) strategy. The head of the GTZ health programme, who is currently the chair of the External Development Partners (EDP) in the health sector in Nepal visited Geneva in October 2009 to explore support opportunities through the P4H network with possible linkage to the IHP process in Nepal. During a meeting with IHP, P4H and ILO the EDP chair extended an invitation of MoH to the P4H Coordination Desk (CD) to attend a SHP kick-off workshop on 26-27 Nov in Nepal.
