President of Turkmenistan opened a 400-bed hospital funded by the state

On April 15, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of a 400-bed multidisciplinary hospital in the city of Turkmenbashi, located in the western part of the country in Balkan velayat (the name of the region).

The new health care facility was built for state funds, but its cost of construction was not disclosed publicly. It was built by a private company named “Ussat Inžener” by order of the mayor of the Balkan region.

The seven-story brand new hospital has 27 clinical departments and will employ 1,200 people. It is envisioned to create the necessary opportunities to restore the health of citizens in inpatient and outpatient settings. It was also reported that the facility is equipped with the latest medical equipment and aspires to comply with international quality standards.
