As a part of the ongoing reforms to modernize the Public Financial Management in Cameroon, the Ministry of Finance organized a conference on the execution of the State budget for the financial year 2021. The objective was to examine the problems that pose bottlenecks for the proper planning and execution of the budget, and find appropriate solutions.
After the workshop and deliberations with Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Health took into account the recommendations related to improving budget implementation. They also took steps for readjusting the health budget to reflect changing priorities and ensure that budget lines that have become redundant are reallocated to other priorities. They identified new priorities to be included in the programme budget in preparation.
